Insight Health Solutions launched in 1998 as a provider of WSIB Specialty Program Services. From that time, we have continued to expand the programming delivered to injured workers, expanding our programs to service across Ontario and in the specialized area of First Responder Mental Health.

WSIB Occupational Health Assessment Program

The Occupational Health Assessment Specialty Program (OHAP) provides musculoskeletal, mild traumatic brain Injury and general clinical assessments and medication reviews. It also provides case consult services for independent medical opinions to improve outcomes. The assessment team collaborates with the injured person’s health care team including the primary health care provider, community treatment provider or Specialty Program provider to ensure you get the right treatment at the right time. The program facilitates a clear, coordinated care path for all parties involved in the care and recovery of a person with a workplace injury or illness.

WSIB Back and Specialty Program

The Back and Neck Specialty Program provides assessment and treatment services for injured workers who have spinal injuries, including those who may require a surgical consultation and/or surgery, to help facilitate functional recovery and early and safe return to work. The assessment and treatment services are performed by an interdisciplinary team of specialists with expertise in the management of people with complex back and neck injuries including surgical intervention, if needed. The team facilitates improved function, mobility and recovery of injured persons referred to this program with the goal of safe return to work.

WSIB Lower Extremity Specialty Program

The Lower Extremity Specialty Program provides assessments and treatment for injured workers who have lower extremity injuries, including those who may require surgical consultation and/or surgery to help facilitate functional recovery and early and safe return to work. The assessment and treatment services are performed by an interdisciplinary team of specialists with expertise in the assessment and treatment of injured workers with complex hip, knee, ankle and foot injuries including surgical intervention, if needed.

WSIB Neurology Specialty Program

The Neurology Specialty Program provides timely access to specialized assessment and treatment services for injured workers with mild to moderate acquired brain injuries, including complex neck injuries with accompanying brain At Insight, we understand the importance of early intervention and providing a structured and progressive plan to optimize recovery and return to work. Our interprofessional team is skilled at managing physical and psychosocial impacts of a concussion or major traumatic brain injury. From headaches, to changes in mood, our team will work with injured workers to understand their condition and provide strategies to optimize recovery and function to support early and safe return to work.

WSIB Upper Extremity Specialty Program

The Upper Extremity Specialty Program provides assessment and treatment services for injured workers who have sustained upper extremity injuries, including those who may require surgical consultation and/or surgery to help facilitate functional recovery and early and safe return to work. The assessment and treatment services are performed by an interdisciplinary team of specialists with expertise in the assessment and treatment of injured workers with complex shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist injuries including surgical intervention, if needed.

WSIB First Responder Mental Health Pilot

This First Responder Specialty Program provides assessment and treatment services for First Responder workers who are struggling with their emotional well-being. A first-of-its-kind in the province, this pilot program delivers an innovative evidence-based mental health program that includes outpatient and residential treatment, provided by an interdisciplinary team of clinicians. All programming is specifically tailored to First Responders, and can be accessed through virtual care or in person through a referral by the WSIB.
