What is it?
The Shoulder Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) provides patients with a timely assessment of their shoulder. Patients will be provided with education on their condition and provided with management options which may be conservative or surgical. All patients will receive a customized treatment plan to help manage their symptoms.

Who is Seen at the Shoulder Rapid Access Clinic?
This program is for all individuals 18 years of age and over with shoulder pain, instability, or weakness related to their shoulder.
Patients with the following are not suitable for this program:
- Less than 18 years of age
- Active shoulder related WSIB or MVA claim
- Upper extremity radicular pain
- Hypermobility syndromes like Ehlers- Danlos, Marfan syndrome (if referring for instability)
- Acute/subacute fracture, infection, malignancy
Recommended Treatment
For shoulder pain or instability, we recommend the GLA:D Canada program (not covered by OHIP) at Trillium Health Partners. Patients can self-refer or receive referral from their APP or Physician.
